This is one of the best programs WACD has ever hosted. It demonstrates how important it is to have a full hour to present a complicated subject. The snippets we get on typical news broadcasts rarely get to the meat of an issue. I got so much out of today's presentation. I will recommend it to my friends and family.

Question: Is Ted Nordhaus related to William Nordhaus, Nobel prize winner for his work on climate change?

As you have since discovered and I am posting here for everyone, Nobel Prize winner William Nordhaus is Ted's uncle. Good catch Becky.

Ted did a good job to explain everything in layman"s terms or level. A very interesting subject for all that you brought to us. " job well done . "

The speaker was the best I've heard (and read) on a subject on which I do a lot of reading. He provided the most complete explanation of all the complexities to limit world temperature. He also made it clear that we must continue with the effort

Thanks for the heads-up, Ron. Links for access to the programs are automated, but Linda will check into and advise.

Today's presentation was well done and full of creditable information. Ted was what I call a "real speaker" that wasn't selling a book or pushing his agenda. I would enjoy hearing from other speakers that are living in the real world and know how to balance their check book.

Excellent talk.
Comprehensive and objective discussion of the whole subject of global warming without the hysteria.

An outstanding, multi-dimentional, even-handed presentation by Mr. Nordhaus on the subject of global warming/climate change - the true nature of which has been compromised from mis-statements via biased rhetoric from the extreme supporters and dissenters.

As usual, the Q&A portion brought out more good perspectives, with plaudits to Ken Bauldin for nicely weaving the WACD questions into the discussion.

Would have liked to gained more insight into: (a) The nuclear power innovative developments, to include it as a long-term option for sustainable alternative electrical energy; (b) An understanding of the depth, breadth and costs of a massive infrastructure needed domestically to support the shift to electric vehicles. The latter will require decades of investment and patience. And (c) Discussion about potential national security aspects associated with an over-weight dependence upon electical energy and the corresponding power grid network that could be greatly compromised by the equivalent of cyber-attacks from a rogue or enemy nation. A hybrid strategy, with fossil fuels in the equation, facilitates a "Plan B" and survival. Yes, this becomes a deep and sinister topic all too quickly.

This is a subject that will not go away, for the country, for the planet. Let's get Mr. Nordhaus back please, and soon.

Point-on comments as usual, Allen. In tune with your suggestion on Ted's returning - we have already begun to lay the groundwork.

A fabulous presentation on a critical subject. I too would like Mr. Nordhaus back. His presentation was fascinating and gave a much needed clear view of the situation without the hysteria. I, however, sincerely believe a world without coral reefs and nature would be a sad world indeed. He mentioned his writing on the topic. Where can this be found. Thank you.

Ted is widely published and has some excellent articles. One suggestion: https://www.foreignaffairs.com/authors/ted-nordhaus

Another source is his writing at Foreign Policy, with a recent piece on China.

He is an excellent source of rational thinking on this topic and we look forward to having him back. As others have noted, our expanded 'World Affairs Overtime' feature allows greater coverage of popular topics such as this.

It certainly was a thorough technical appraisal on the subject of Climate Change. I would readily admit, it was a little above my pay scale. However, Ted Nordhaus was very forthcoming on his responses to the questions from the audience. It made my understanding of the subject matter much clearer.

Even handed, thorough and NOT pedantic. One of the best so far.
