Fantastic program today. Good to meet friends in person. It felt like a new beginning!

Dr. Arnn's presentation was inspiring. I easily could've listened to him for another hour. Let's make Hillsdale College a friend of WACD and hear from more speakers like Dr. Arnn.

Possible disclaimer- I could not hear him well
Some of his comments and information re WC were interesting. However, I never quite heard him address what I understood to be his topic ,i.e., what might WC think of the current state of affairs in the world. For example, what might the greatest man in the world about the status of the Atlantic Alliance or the status of women?

As is often the case, the questions and responses were more interesting than the presentation.

Jim,
Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, the speaker did get off topic. We will take care to inform future speakers to be consistent with the advertised subject. Hopefully the content that was presented was informative.

Such a wonderful program. Dr. Arnn was so well informed on Churchill & had such an intriguing manner of sharing that knowledge with us, he drew us all into the conversation. It was so nice to finally meet in person again.

Very Good speaker, extremely knowledgeable on his subject and presented with a nice touch of humor. Appreciated how he directed some of his comments to the students present.

Lovely to be together again and enjoyed seeing old friends. I wish the speaker had been told that World Affairs Council is non-partisan. Too many remarks were off topic and rambling and I didn't hear anything new about Churchill until the questions.

Karen,
Dr Arnn was fully aware that our organization is non partisan.
As you know it is very difficult to prevent personal views from being expressed. Be assured your Programs Committee will always attempt to provide speakers that will present all sides of an issue.
Thanks for your comments.

Ken.

I am continuously impressed as a new member of this organization by the level of commitment by the organizers, however I have to say that I was disappointed in this speaker's presentation.
The speaker never got around to the topic of his presentation.
He rambled, he said that he disliked the governor of the state in which his college was located, then stated that he was a Trump supporter, and at one point made an off color joke in the company of minors in the audience.
I am a registered Independent, still his comments suggested an unnecessary level of partisanship.
I assume that the collective had considerable knowledge of the life and contributions of the Prime Minister; what we wanted to hear about is how he might view our current world.
I look forward to future presentations.

Respectfully
Kimberly Burge, Ed.D.

Kimberly,
Thanks for your comments. Please note my reply to Karen Speros.
We agree with your observations and want to assure you the committee will work hard to keep speakers on message and aware of the audience's interests.
