This speaker, John Blaxland, was an in effective speaker. He was very difficult to understand. His slides were poor quality & ineffective. His talk was too broad, therefore, scanning over the important subjects. I had a guest as their first time experience at WACD which was unfortunate for them to have this experience.

A very enjoyable and informative talk. Having visited Australia and having a daughter who went to The University of Adelaide, it was particularly meaningful.

The audio was of such poor quality that I was only able to decipher about 10% of the talk. Either the microphones were being over driven causing distortion or the speaker on the west end of the facility was defective with tear in its cone causing distortion. The slides would have been very good if we had individual printed copies to follow along with. Sad, because I think we missed out on some important information.

The presentation lacked continuity. It was missing a beginning, middle and conclusion to tie the subject together. The slide were inappropriate, too cluttered and difficult to read. I thought they were posters for his books. Overall a poor presentation.

I had difficulty understanding the speaker because of his accent. I believe he had some important and interesting things to say. I'm wondering if it would be possible for WACD to obtain a summary, or transcript, of the speaker's remarks that could be provided to interested members? Thank you for your consideration.

Unfortunately the speakers were set on bass, I could not hear.
