Ambassador Taylor was very informative and delivered fast-based information on the war in Ukraine. Thankfully, it was non-partisan and focused on the history leading to the conflict and his perspective on what’s needed to end it. His delivery was animated and engaging. Enjoyed greatly.

One of the very best. The time went too quickly. Ambassador Taylor's presentation was timely, and I learned quite a lot. I could have listened to him for another hour. He answered the questions completely. He was down to earth and totally relatable.

The Ambassador's free flowing conversation was informative and insightful. I learned a great deal about the history of Russian/Ukrainian conflict and "why" they are where they are.

Ambassador Taylor's presentation was extremely informative and well organized. He presented his three reasons why it is important for the US to support the Ukranian effort and documented each one with rich content on all aspects of the Ukranian War-from the history in the time of Catherine the Great, to the present day, the geography, the players, and the politics. However, the questions proceeded much too long, and I heard many "enoughs" and grumblings from multiple tables around us. The Ambassador made it clear on several occasions that he wanted to hear from the LIVE audience and the MC did not give him the chance.

I thought the speaker was great! I liked that there were more questions and answers that a straight presentation. I also thought asking members to submit questions in advance was a good idea.

I Thought his presentation was wonderful. How lucky were we to have him right after he comes back from Ukraine and I love that he had the map which added to the understanding of what’s going on and has a personality I felt he was very warm and open. the food was good as usual and I’m so happy I’m a member.

I was disappointed with the speaker. I believe he glossed over the most important issue with Ukraine, that is, the rampant corruption. In 2017, Ernst & Young, one of the largest accounting firms in the world, rated Ukraine as the most corrupt country in Europe. Further, there is recent media reporting indicating that the US government is more concerned than they are letting on about the corruption in the country. It's also been reported that a Zelensky aide in Ukraine stated that "people are stealing like there's no tomorrow". This rampant corruption could cause the various countries supporting Ukraine to pull their support, in addition to losing the support of the American public, and unfortunately, he did not really address it. There is also so much more to the Ukraine issue than he disclosed, including the history of the civil war in the Donbas region in 2014 that has led up to the current war. Thousands died as more than 70% of the citizenry in Donbas wanted to either separate or have autonomy from the corrupt central government. I had hoped that the ambassador would have given more of a history of the turbulence in Ukraine, such as that outlined by the Foreign Policy Research Institute prior to Russia's invasion so that we could all understand what is going on over there. See https://www.fpri.org/article/2019/10/five-years-of-war-in-the-donbas/ As to the venue, service and food, it was, as always, fabulous!!
