| Welcome to the World Affairs Council of the Desert At a time when global events increasingly shape our daily lives, informed dialogue and thoughtful discussion are more important than ever. The World Affairs Council of the Desert is dedicated to bringing our community together to explore the international issues, challenges, and opportunities that influence our world. Through distinguished speakers, educational programs, and engaging conversations, we provide members and guests with direct access to leaders and experts from the fields of diplomacy, national security, journalism, academia, and public policy. Our goal is to foster greater understanding of global affairs and encourage the exchange of diverse perspectives in a respectful and welcoming environment. Education is also central to our mission. Through Academic WorldQuest, our flagship youth education program, we help cultivate global awareness, critical thinking, and civic engagement among local students, inspiring the next generation of informed citizens and leaders. As we continue to expand our programming, including special events and virtual discussions throughout the year, including our newly launched Summer Speaker Series, we remain committed to delivering timely, relevant, and thought-provoking experiences for our members and the broader community.
